On 4-wheelers it usually says you must be 16 or over to ride them, and I was wondering if this is the law, or just something the company puts on there...? Any help is appreciated.

 

I am not sure of the law over there!
Here there is an age law but they would have a tough time inforcing it anyway I dont think they are to worried all is needed is a bit of common sense as soon as my kids are big enough to ride I will trust them!!

My 12 year old son has a Raptor. That's what we think of the industry guidelines. But he is an excellant rider, this is his third full size quad. 325 Polaris, then a 425 EXP, now the Raptor.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]

 

These are manufacturers recommendations only for general riding. I think I remember reading a post about kids under a certain age not being able to race larger bore quads though. As long as racing isn't in the future, it isn't an issue.

A 200lb 15 year old would look pretty ridiculous on a 90cc quad not to mention how dangerous it would be.

 

well when i was 12 i had a Yamaha Wolverine and now im 14 and have a Banshee!!! I like them both and still have both!
