Things NOT to say to a cop if you get pulled over:

Dang, how did ya catch me, I must have been doing over 100mph.
Your not going to search my vehicle, are ya?
Oh, I've driven alot more intoxicated then this.
Can you tell me where the nearest dognut shop is?
Is that a real gun?
Do they let you carry bullets?
Touch my nose with my finger, why don't I just punch you in yours?

And my all time favorite (from the KQRS morning show)......."Yo Mammy"!
(full context can be heard at KQRS.com)

A true story about cops:

I was in the military and had an electronics job that had a ten month tech school that was semi-challenging. A little less than 50% of our class flunked. They made those guys bomb loaders. Believe it or not, several people actually flunked out of that. Those repeat flunkies are given a choice: they can become cooks or cops. The military knows that it takes the same intelligence aptitude to say, "would you like fries with that?", as it does to say,"can I see you license and registration."

There are probably nine or ten good cops in the country, the rest are just guys who used to get their milk money taken in grade school.

Ya,
I got it to. I was riding to the trail(short trip) when I seen a yard sale pulled over to check it out wouldn't you know an off duty statie pulled in beside me and said "where ya going". I looked at him like what are you talking about. He like "I'm sick and tired of you kids....blah blah blah" I was thinking Dude I'm older than you probaly. He said I'd be getting a fine in the mail.. and I did. He also said that he didn't have to catch me again to get any more fines. If he sees me he'll just send 'em my way. I just about lost it. Well on the fine it says Yellow and white Raptor(it's all decked out in yellow) Back to Black and White I guess. The funny thing was the lady's yardsale I was at she was b*tchin at the cop the whole time. She was like your an A$$hole. I could barely contain myself! Oh well shouldn't of been doing that. HE won't be so fortunate next time because I won't be pulling over.

I feel your pain, however i was a bit more lucky than you. down here in rural MS it is not unusual to see quads all out on the roads in the country. well... me and 2 of my buds decide to go for a lil ride, we need to cross UNDER a major highway ( remember we are going under it, not ON it ), well on the return part of our joy ride, guess who we see, Mr. MHP right there, he whipped off the road and almost hit my friend on his 400EX, he was such an A$$ to us, he totally chewed us out, according to him... 200 ft on either side of the road is state property ( i thought it was more like 25 ft ) , he was however, nice enough to let us off with just a warning, we was a little harsh verbally but id much rather had that than have my bike impounded and myself looking at a fat ole ticket. There are nice cops out there, you just have to have patience finding them

87r,
Are you for real? I have met hundreds of cops in NE Ohio, and half of them were in great shape. I would pay money to see you "Take thier lunch money"!

These guys and gals put thier lives on the line for you and you have the nerve to talk about them like this. You people are SICK!!!!!! They are just dong thier jobs! When your quad gets stolen, I hope the cops treat you like the piece of **** you are!

If you go to Wall-Mart and buy bicycle that costs a $100, do you take it to the cashier and expect "a break" on the price? No you don't, and you don't get mad at the cashier for doing thier job. That's the price you pay, it's the same for everyone!

Think about it! If you read what I wrote you will understand it, if you don't, you are hard headed, narrow minded and deserve all the bad you recieve!

Hey Racer 18J just 'cause you like cops doesn't mean we have to. These guys are usually recruited right out of the military at a very young age, with little education or real-life experience.
They could have used the G.I. Bill to get a college education, but most of these guys have a high school diploma and maybe some law enforcement Jr. college classes. It's not a hard job, but it is risky. They make decent money, and hang out with their own kind.
I stay away from them. Look at them wrong and god only knows what kind of crap they'll give you. Many are just plain BULLIES!! Absolute Power corrupts Absolutely, and I'm not talking about Vodka.
They are a neccessary evil. I certainly don't want to deal with the criminal element of our society, these guys are well suited to the task, well trained AND PAID appropriately. Yeah, it's their job, and if the check-out girl at Wal-Mart overcharges me I'm going to Bitch to a superior. And where in the cops job description does HARASSMENT of law-abiding citizens come in?

So is it their job to alienate large segments of the non-criminal population? Is this part of their overall strategy? To just scare the crap out of the rest of us? To keep us "in line"? I think it's just stupidity. Some of them simply can't walk and chew gum at the same time, and do massive Public Relations damage with their power tripped out attitude, especially with certain profiles like minorities, young males and anyone that doesn't fit the good old boy image.

Cops and Crooks are cut from the same cloth. If you know "hundreds" of cops, you must be one of them, or maybe a wanna-be security guard.
I don't see cops standing up for the rights of citizens, Cops are the single biggest threat to our personal freedoms and constitutional rights. Half of the Bill of Rights is designed to protect us from overzealous police authority, one of the reasons we had a revolution in the first place. Cops are society's garbage men, just taking out the trash. It is a dirty job,
but.....

Yeah, I have known a few cops, too. That's how come I feel comfortable believing that most are a$$holes. They look a lot like those guys in the old war movies with the death's-head symbols and the swastikas. What were they called? Oh, yeah...*****.

You guys are all the same, you bitch and complain about the cops until
you need them. O.K. Fourlix ,you say these guys are recruited right out of the military, What better place to learn how to control a mass of people than the military. Now days as you enter law enforcement
you have to go to college, because of the split descisions you have to make all the time. They do not make the money they should, for the type of work they do the pay scale is very low. They hang out with their own kind, Who do you hang out with???? Your own kind????
You ride atvs so you are hanging out here in the forum, and riding with your buddies. Their are cops in this forum and in the woods riding also, gee I guess you hang out with cops also, better stay out of the atv connection and the woods....They are a neccessary evil?
Lets see you are a cop and you just went to a domestic dispute, drunk
guy on vodka,,, you wrestle a gun off of him, handcuff him and then look in the house and see he killed his wife and family or better yet just wounds them. Now an hour later traffic accident someone else gets
killed or hurt really bad due to some stupid person thinking he/she can make the yellow light.,o.k. you with me, now the cop puts back on his bright shiny smile and pulls over an atv/motorcycle/car and warns the same person the third time. Have a nice day... Granted this is not the norm in some cities, but it does happen. It is their job to keep us in line, What happens when the cops go on strike. Think about it
looting, robbery...Cops and crooks are cut from the same cloth??
Cmon...next time you need a cop call your neighbor, or some crook.
Think about what society does for the cops.... They voted to allow
sale of armor piercing bullets. That doesn't help the cops who wear
bullet proof vests who are already under equipped for the everyday low life street scum....... It would be nice if you called the cops to help you out and they looked on thier sheet and said ,, no this guy does not like us we don't have to help him.....

O.K. I was hoping this thread would calm down a little and start to show our law enforcement officers the respect that they deserve. Yes, there are some in law enforcement that go overboard. But to compare ALL cops to ***** and to say that they are a "neccessary evil"......I don't know man. Was the trooper that pulled McVeigh over for expired registration hassling him? Should he have just let him off with a warning? I'm in EMS and I work with alot of people in law enforcement. All I can say is, "Walk a mile in their shoes" or better yet, contact your local police, sherrifs office or state troopers and request a ride along. This thread is now locked.
