I don't quite get all the fuss about the Raptor 80. If Yahama put new plastic on the Warrior, would everyone think it's a great new quad? The only thing new about the Raptor is the plastic, on an old (from the mid 80's) Badger! It would be nice if they did make it alot more like the Raptor660, with some suspension, more motor and reverse. Now that would be interesting! They do make YZ85's, so why not a Raptor 80 with some real performance?

I agree that it would be nice if they made a 80 with some performance. however my 5 year old is an excellent rider on her lt 80. but I don't believe she is ready for yz like performance. The badger is a good basic entry level machine but lets face it, it's ugly and boreing. I don't know about every one else but I'm definatly going to buy my daughter a raptor 80. it may be on a dated chassie but it is COOL! Maybe when she is ready for more power they will have updated the machine, if not, i'm sure she will be able to handle a larger machine. she already rides my wolverine without any problem.

When my kid gets old enough I'm definately going to get her a Raptor 80. She was born two weeks ago so I'm going to start saving for her. But its not easy for me to save cause i have to buy a whole lot of stuff.

yur never too young to have a wheeler! My girls started out riding their lt80 with me pushing it. I was amazed how fast they caught on how to avoid hitting things. its a good thing cause I wore out pretty quick. something they enjoy and learn from is follow the leader. you can control where they go that way and also coach them. my youngest girl started riding when she was 3 years old. she is pretty amazing now at 5. we defnitaly have to have a raptor 80!

I tell you what. Don't all kids want to,"be like dad"? I know my kid does. I have a blue Raptor. As soon as I saw that Raptor 80, I told my wife to start savin'. He was 2 when he started riding a E-ton 50. We just turned the throttle down and he did great! He rides that thing everyday! Rain or shine! Say goodbye to the Badger and Hello to the Raptor 80!

Maybe it's just me, but has everyone really looked at the badger? I've always thought that it was the ugliest Yamaha ATV at the shop. My son would bypass the Badger and jump on a Blaster when we were there. How much you wanna bet he jumps on that Raptor 80 next time? BTW, my polaris dealer has been selling a ton of their scrambler/sportman minis. I guess the kids think the old minis look bad too.
