I am contemplating buying a Warrior, the motor is in execellent shape ( a family member owns it and I know it has been excellently taken care of ) , but my questions is, what sort of big bore kits are available and what power increases are we talking about? i would like to know many of the pro's & con's . any info is helpful! Thanks!

Been there spent that $$$$$

Leave it stock........yes you can big bore it, but its much more cost effective to just leave the warrior stock and save your money for a newer more hi-tech machine.

No way a big bore warrior would of beat (repeatedly) a YZ450. Sure maybe he won 1 race due to a sneaky hole shot or the other guy missed a shift, but no way it would consistantly beat a YZ450, even if the Warrior rider only weighed 50 pounds.

My 400cc Warrior would hold its own against a 400ex, but remember, the Warrior is only a 2 valve head, and even when built to the max only puts out 28-30 horsepower. I've seen several YZ450 dyno charts with simple silencer, cam and jetting mods getting 52-55 horsepower.

My built stroker Warrior engine also only lasted 2 years before it threw the rod and totalling the whole engine case. A high strung motor just doesn't last as long.
