i have a modified blaster with boyeson reeds, pro design reed spacer, FMF fatty pipe, FMF PC2 silencer, jetted carb., modded air box. My friend has a 300ex that has an FMF megamax exh. system and a jetted carb.
Who do you think would win in any type of race.
Which do you think is a better quad all around.

You would probably win if you both are good riders. I think the blaster would beat in any type of riding. I'm probably a little bias since a own a blaster and hate 4 strokes

Your Blaster will smoke that EX all day long. Especially if you are talking drag racing.

I sure hope you modified the chasis because that thing is going to be tippy with all those modifications.

I think that the blaster would beat it in any type of racing EXCEPT cross country. The blaster just doesn't have good low end torque you need for trail riding. Also the 300ex would beat you ONLY if it had many more mods than you. Otherwise you should kill it all the time except cross country.

im a yamaha fan but i am sick of all the people sayin a blaster is better then a trx 300ex i had a 98 300ex and the blaster could not say with me in the woods for nothing i draged a few blasters when both quads were stock i got him one race he got me one race but bothg withen a quads length or less but if u are talking about other than top speed the 300ex is the best all around

i'm neither a honda or yamaha fan, i'm a bombadier fan haha. Anyway, the 300ex will most deffinatly smoke the blaster in almost any situation except a drag race. And if you are planning on drag racing, a 300ex or blaster probably are not your best choices. But between the 2 the blaster would probably pull the ex in a drag. In the woods or on the mx track, handling is the most impoortant issue and the honda has much better handling/suspension combination than the smaller/compact blaster. I think a blaster w/ smaller profile tires (hoelshots/razrs) would help greatly, and maybe widen up the rear end and the front end. Either way, i'd take the 300ex over the blaster.
