Try a 12 tooth front sprocket with a 41 or 42 rear.

 

I don't know exactly what you mean but I am running a 14/40 gearing in order to get more top end and longer running time in second gear than before. I run MX races and I only use 1st for the start and then run 2nd and 3rd only.
