Here is the story, my stator went on my 98 Warrior. My buddy has a 90 Warrior and we put his on mine. We just took the part of the case too that the stator is attached to . The connections were different so we used all of his electrical from his. Every piece of electrical on his IS working correctly. When it is turning over, I get a spark every once in a while, but not constantly. The thing we are wondering, is should we also put his flywheel on it due to the fact that the magnets may be set in different places and trying to charge at different times. Any other suggestions are welcomed but we think this is the problem. I just want to know before we go to all that trouble. Thanks Guys, you havent let me down yet, dont start now!!! I do not know the answer to your question, but.....if all else fails Moose sells and aftermarket stator for the 87-01 Warrior for $185 (see Dennis Kirk ATV catalog). The OEM stator is almost $400.....

Well, for anyone interested, I resolved the problem. The problem was that the pickup coil was different on the 90 as opposed to the 98. As soon as I switched the flywheel, it fired right up.
