Just pulled my second clutch out of my raptor. The first one was done by the dealer. I have never seen a clutch so trashed in all my days of riding! There are pieces of friction plate laying all in the cover, and the basket is a nice shade of Black/Brown. Ordered a Barnett clutch kit for raptor. No gotty. They had to order piece by
piece. 6 of 1 #, and 2 of another, five springs, and drive plates.
Still waiting for feedback from previous reply about clutch basket mod to increase oil flow. Does Hinson back up their basket with the larger holes, with proof. Tired of being in first place and frying my clutch... Tired of worrying!

P.S.
You don't have to move the motor to remove the clutch cover like
some have questioned.

When you trash a clutch like that, does it leave the tranny and engine case full of debrie and etc? What do you do about cleaning it out? Thanks

Raptorrider2001,
I was told by the dealer that did my first clutch that they had to "flush" out the engine. With what or how I do not know. What I plan to do is wash all parts that I can with gasoline or kerosene and blow off real good. Re-assemble. Fill with oil run for 5 minutes without engaging clutch then drain oil and refill.
Does anybody have any suggestions?
