Yeah, it's called the 2002 Raptor!! Do you really think that Yamaha would build a second high performance quad and still produce the Raptor?? What would be the point and since the 2002 Raptors are already on the assembly lines there will not be any other but the Raptor, at least for another year. Even after that I bet they simply make improvements and keep the same name.

look at how long it took to get the raptor... now add that to 2001 and there is the year you can ask that question.

but seriousely, i bet it will take 3yrs to get something new out that is even faster or better.

what made you even think of that question already? it should be is suzuki going to or is honda going to

I wonder that too. Honda will stay in the rumor mill for a while probably. You hear a lot about a 450ex and all, but for some reason, I don't see a totally new sport from honda for at least a couple years. The ex gets eat up in straight line speed, but it still hangs tight on the track, and is still very popular.

the only thing i could think of would be a replacement for the warrior and/or blaster. a better framed quad with a YZ250F engine replacement for the blaster would be nice. and who knows what for the warrior, but it definately needs some updating. its been since 1987.

I heard from a guy at the races that yamaha will be replacing the banshee with another 2-stroke within the next few years. He is the only person I've heard that from so I assume he's talking out of his a$$.
