Hello,
My bro got a 2002 kodiak black s.e. last week and after 300km's on it we have came to the conclusion that the reverse on the machine is pathetic it will barely spin the tires in reverse when stuck, we have heard of guys fixin this problem buy disconnecting a wire under the airbox but we aren't sure which one. also what would everyone reccomend for a break in speed we were told just not to take it over 60km/h? also what are some good mods for this machine to make it keep up (not beat) with a kawi 650 that we ride with cause the kodiak already outhandles him but the v-twin just has more power!
On a side note the kawi is not that much of a beast my 99 griz went with him all day (he was still breakin it in but I think once broke in that kawi won't beat the griz by much in a drag, and I'm fairly sure next weekend my warrior will eat the kawi for lunch)

Thanks
BUBBA

I've had my Kodiak for a year now and have seen the reverse limiter question asked many times. I have yet to see it to be answered with a correct solution. Good luck there. As far as breaking in the quad, only go up to 3/4 throttle on the first two tanks of gas and vary your speed, never staying at one constant speed for long periods. On your third, you can then peg it out, but again not keeping it there for a long period. By your fourth tank of gas, you're good to go.
