Word to 88Warrior. Chasman, <The 2 Strokes were a good thing in their day, but let's put them out to pasture and make way for the big 4 strokes> Just cause the only production 2-stroke is a Banshee and Blaster doesn't mean that 4-strokes are necessarily better. It's just opinion and riding style. I would rather ride a 2-stroke hard all day than put around trails on a 4-stroke. And about the reliability issue, I have had 2 or 3 4 strokes and all of them broke down, and one blew up an hour after I sold it, while my CR250 that I sold a year ago is still running strong and hasn't been rebuilt for 7 years. And don't even say I don't know how to ride cause I rode it everyday on MX track and trails and never had any problems with it except a dirty Air-Filter, I never even fouled a plug!!

It's a matter of generally speaking that 2 strokes are more maintenince or easier braking. It is true. I'm not sayin 4 stroke x is worse then 2 stoke b.

ltracer you make some valid points, but you obviously didn't fully understand my point about the 2 stroke needing rebuilt often to run at maximum performance. I had a 2 stroke and liked it a lot, but now that I have a big 4 stroke I would never buy a 2 stroke again. However, I must admit when it comes time to redo my 4 stroke I will wish I had the parts bill of rebuilding a 2 stroke. Now can't we all just get along. LOL LOL LOL

O.K. Chasman we can get along I guess this was just another 2 V.S. 4 issue again.

as far as rebuilding 2 strokes every year. use a compression gauge on it and it will let you know
if its time to rebuild. i heard people running top ends on 2 strokes for awile and never changing them. it goes both ways i seen 4 strokes in rough shape after a year,so its just not 2 strokes.

Chasman, The fact is this. You want the truth ?? Here is the truth. My Banshee is 2 1/2 years old, I ride it about 60 hours a year, more or less. So by now it should have 150 hours of use on it. Before this quad, I always had 4 strokes, and I used to think about 2 strokes like if they should rebuilt the top end every year. Well, now that I have experienced by having this banshee, I must say that I am very pleased by it´s reliability. I am not saying that they dont need maintenance, because you should have always fresh oil and air filter (normal stuff), BUT for me the important thing is that I am very surprised with its durability.
I live in a city so I dont have sand dunes or trails nearby BUT when I want to really roost my banshee is ready to give what I need or even more !!!!!
Banshee: OOOhhhh!!! What a machine !!!!
For you,OTTERBOB , My lenguaje is Spanish so maybe thas why I had some spelling mistakes. So I´m sorry pal I wont do it again.
