I'm sure everyone jumped all over this when it first came out but where did they find the test rider for the banshee, team huffy.

I've done it a 100 times running the raptors and DSs. They don't get past 3rd gear. And jumping? I won't comment.

The 2 stroke produces more hp to weight which equals better handling, easier jumping and faster...

If anyone here in Phoenix would like to do a true shoot-out, I'll bring the pudding and the digital camcorder.

Maby 2 strokes have a better power to weight ratio, however, the banshee is hevier than the raptor. Also, I won't comment on the banshee's suspension and handling. that is why the raptor won the shootout.

YellowRaptor, Do you really said that the Banshee is heavier than the Raptor ??
Banshee 386 lbs.
Raptor 399 lbs.

The Banshees piece of junk stock tires are probably what held it back in most of the categories. Because they run everything bone stock on all the quads all the way down to the lug nuts.

they should have brought up the point of reliability. Yes 2 strokes stink as far as rebuilding top ends every year. The 2 Strokes were a good thing in their day, but let's put them out to pasture and make way for the big 4 strokes.

I don't know, riding a raptor after riding a quadzilla sure makes a raptor(or any four-stroke) feel, well, gutless. If only a four stroke could respond like a two stroke.......Oh, the cannondale probably would've won the other shoot outs if the raptor had its stock tires.

Man, nobody has agreed which quad is faster yet, Banshee or Raptor? I agree that drag races can go either way depending on rider/conditions, but not top end, there should be a deffinate answer. WHICH ONE IS FASTER????

well speaking strictly from my hind end i would have to say the raptor has more top end than the banshee stock for stock. i had a 95 stock banshee and it didnt seem to have the top end that my stock raptor had when i had the stock sprockets on it. now that i have a 12 tooth on my raptor i would have to say it would be really close. probably mid to upper 60's.

you got the right name sparky. Depending on how much you ride it. I had a 250r last year and rebuilt the top end. I have the manual right here and they suggest a rebuild after 50 hours of riding. Now I do agree this is a little extreme, but to get the most out of your 2 stroke you should do a piston and rings every year atleast. Now who needs to get their facts straight.......SPARKY or is that spanky????
