I noticed today that my '96 Wolv seemed to be sitting a little low in the back. I grabbed onto the rack and lifted it up. The bike came up about another 6 inches from where it was, and stayed there. Then when I pushed down, it went down a little too easy, and when it was coming back up, it was really slow, and didn't come all the way back up. I'm assuming that the shock is screwed. Can it be rebuilt or recharged? If not, where could I find a good price on an aftermarket shock, and what would be a good one to get? Thanks!

Try spraying some WD-40 on the seal to the damper. IT seems like it could just be plugged up.

If you want a stock replacement, get one from NCY Yamaha. 30% off.

dont quote me but I'm pretty sure that most yamaha rear shocks are rebuildable, I would get it rebuilt by works or some aftermarket brand.
