I keep hering that the girzz goes 67. It weighs more then the raptor and the raptor goes 72. I just think that the weight ratio is more? Corect me if i am wrong but it if goes that fast. the raptor should go faster... I think the raptor must be geared low. I want to dump my sportsman 500 for this. does it kick *** over the sportsman? how are those tires in the mud?

I've owned a few Polaris' and the 01' Sportsman HO was one of them. I own the new 02' Grizzly and in my opinion it's a better quad. It flat out Honks! With just a blip of the throttle I'm up around 50mph. The gearing is better where I don't find myself having to play with High and Low as much. It shifts great and the suspension is alittle stiffer. The sportsman did seem a little more plush when crawling over rough terrain. I haven't played with the grizzly suspension to much though. I'm still breaking it in, so top speed hasn't been hit yet, but I will tell you from the seat of the pants feel, it has more torque and would rip by my old sportsman. I have heard other Grizzly owners claim there quads hit the high 60 mark and I would probably have to agree. Only time, open space and a calibrated radar gun will tell.
