Klotz Benol vs. Klotz R50
#1
I have a new 2001 Banshee that is nearly broken in. I am going to switch my premix oil after I have it broken in. I can't make up my ming between Klotz Benol or Klotz R50. I want an oil that leaves little deposits, lubricates the engine well, and is low maintenace so my engine pistons will last as long as possible. For break in I have been using Yamalube 2R, but want to switch to something better. I thank you for all of your help.

R50 or Techniplate would likely to be a better choice. Benol has castor bean oil in that requires some good high hard RPM's to keep from forming deposits, even then it can be a bit gooey. Castor oil deposits are somewhat what lead to the need for cleaner burning synthetic oils.
I use R50 in my ported Pro-X 370R and use Techniplate in my wife's ported 250R and Ski Doo 670 sled...
For an otherwise stock engine I would use Techniplate at 32:1 to 40:1.
