I have a 2000 Yamaha Banshee and have been running Bel-Ray MC-1 oil since the day I got it. I have been running it at 50:1. I have narrowed my choices down to three oils, Maxima 927, Klotz BeNol, or Klotz Super Techniplate. What ratios should i run with each oil? Does Maxima 927 have the smell of BeNol?Are the rumors about Klotz destroying your engine true?If i switch to one of these oils will i need to rejet?

Any help would be appreciated!

i was running golden spectro in one tank right after i got my banshee, then a mechanic (i trust) told me to run maxima castor 927, so thats what i run now. its a bit prcy, but seems to work real well. plus, i like the smell of it better than synthetic. i ordered a value pacage of it through Rocky Mountain with 4 64 oz. bottles for about $70 w/ shipping. so thats $70 for 2 gallons. if i were to buy a whole bunch of 16 oz. bottles at the shop to equal 2 gal., it would cost about $100. (just a little info to help)

YAMALUBE 2R is unequaled in the Banshee I tell you this with all sincerity and 80-90w golden spectro in the case no car motor oils they contain anti-friction modifiers which can cause clutch slip when it gets hot

I also run the yamalube 2r, and highly recomend it however i think that bel ray gear saver 80 weight oil for the case is the best.. good luck.
