my sons 2000 blaster has a problem that i hope someone can help me with, it runs great but after it warms up real good after 10 to 15 min of riding when you open it up it stalls out similar to flooding out it just loses power, if you let off the throttle the give it a lil gas it will go fine it happens only when the throttle is opended up and as you know on a blaster that is almost always, it seems to happen in 2nd and 3rd, someone told me to try a hotter plug and i did, then they said to change the ignition coil and i did, it seems that it helped some but it sill does it it just take longer, the therory on the coil was once it heats up a coil will sometime cut out? well it still doeas it. is it the carb or the reeds someone please help

thanks butch

Make sure the fuel line from the gas tank is not touching anything hot. If it is only a little fuel will go through the fuel line when it gets hot. It's called vapor lock.

Jetting could do that. Check the jetting and clean the carb.

It really sounds like it could be jetting or the float in the carb is sticking. Did you add the pipe and K&N filter? Most blasters need to be rejetted with these additions.

Check your float level, neddle & seat, in line fuel filter, and the petcock might have a clogged fuel filter.

This may sound dumb but make sure you check the gas vent hose. If it is plugged or has a kink in it, it will cause your problems. Also, if that is not it take the carb off and clean it real well could just be a plugged jet.

Think about this...if your air vent hose is blocked it is blocked whether the bike is warmed up or not. If it is a jetting problem, clogged fuel filter, bad float level, dirty carb, needle or seat in the carb or petcock problem, the quad would stall whether it was warmed up or not. Let's seriously think about a problem that would happen only after the quad is warmed up. Any ideas other than mine would be appreciated. Thanks!

My blaster would do the same thing, I'd start it up, ride a couple minutes, by the time I hit 6th it would bogg and die, and wouldnt start back up, a couple minutes later it would start right up.. The vent hose was not totally clogged, but it was kinked and restricting flow, what was happening was it had just enough air flow so it would get gas, but after a minute or two it would choke out.. Checked it out, there is a bunch of crap inside the cap itself (take it out!) and the vent hose was like 6 inches too long.. cut it and it hasnt done it since.. Common problem, at least you diddnt take it to the dealer and have him cut the hose..
