Frano, a 39 mile ride may seem like a long ride to you, but to me and my riding associates a 60 mile ride is the norm. We have done as much as 130 in one day. Yesterday's ride was only 62 miles so it was a short one. As for your body not being able to take it, most of us that ride are in our late 40's to upper 60's. Very little of our rides are on anything close to resembling a road.

This is all I can tell you at this point. I've got about 30 miles maybe on my Griz. Maybe closer to 35, I can't remember. I had 4 miles on it when I filled the tank. Right now, its only lost one of the 4 bars on the fuel guage. In other words, it shows 3/4 of a tank left after say 30 miles. Of course, I don't have any idea how accurate the guage is either though. I'll let you know when I fill it again. This is the first tank to go through the bike of course so I guess mileage could either get better or worse after break in. I would think better, but again, who knows.

Hey guys, Got good solid figures,
Filled it up today, at the gas station, up to the bottom of the little filler neck, Ran 80 HARD miles 40-50mph hours most of the time, and I Lost power at 81 miles, the truck was still 10 miles, and I made it back. ITs gotta be loooow though. :-) It rides great!

Thanks Quadman.
Keep the info coming guys so we can get some sort of average.
I agree with Minehunter, some of us are taking extended trips way into the back woods and every mpg makes a difference. The bigger tank is great for day trips, but it still takes a lot of cans to keep it full on a week-long moose hunt.
I can accept the fact that the bigger motors are generally more thirsty, but as the technology improves, so does the mileage; just like cars. My old Polaris with its 350 2-stroke is lucky to get 60 miles out of a 4 gallon tank!

First tank, I had about 70 miles when the warning light started flashing. This is about where reserve starts I think. Mixed riding. Some fast, some dirt roads, some technical, some slow woods riding.

after about 43 miles hard riding"on the gas",muddy, and lots of hills I was on reserve.yes the grizzly has a large tank and it needs it.If you plan on going on a weekend trip bring alot of fuel with you or you might be heading 2hours back to the nearest town to fill up the "2" 5 gallon jerry cans plus full griz that you thought would be enough. Not that it happened to me or anything.
