Warrior going to Neutral instead of 2nd please help

I have a 2001 warrior it is about 4 months old and i went riding today and i went off into 1st and when i tried to go to 2nd it just went into neutral so i was like what the heck so i tried it again and again and still the same thing but about after 5 min i guess it warmed up and it went into it just fine but then when i try to go to neutral it just goes straight to 2nd????????? If u ask me it is kinda funny so what do u think the problem is i think i am going to take it back the the yamaha shop and get them to fix it since it is still under warranty what do ya'll think????

Yeah, typical yammy tranny, try changing your oil, after a while you'll get use to it, just wait for the "click" before you let the clutch out..

No i know how to change gears and it is not that i can still hold the clutch in all the way and it wont go up no more and i just changed my oil about 3 days ago so it aint that!!!!!!!!!!

Dude whatever... I was just trying to help! Yamaha trannys are notchy (at least every one I've ridden) wait until you pull to a stop in 6th gear and have to hop and jump around and slip the clutch to get it to downshift.. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] They are notchy, you'll get use to it, my yammy does the exact same thing, you have to wait for the "click" if it doesnt do it try again, I'm not saying you dont know how to shift, I am saying that yamaha trannys like to slip from 2nd to neutral if they arent 100% engaged..

I have a 97 warrior it is pretty hard to find neutral. I usally have to kill the bike to find neutral on mine. Yammie trannie's are junk.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Hey.. try getting some Barnett Dirt Digger Clutch plates, a Hinson Clutch basket.. this will fix all your problems!
