Is spending 200 bux for the Boysen Rad Valve worth it? Will I notice more throttle response with it? Anybody out there have this installed, and if so what do you think about it? Did you rejet the carbs LEANER? Correct me if I am wrong but the Rad Valves' function is to allow consistant air flow right?

I do not have a rad valve, but i do have tyhe boyseen reeds. They are awsome. The rad valve will reduce a siphone i think. Also, i belive you will need to bump up the jetting, not make it leaner...

-good luck-

The MobileDyno charts show that the RAD valve set up on the Banshee lost horsepower on the top end. I've always used the Boyesen reeds and liked the throttle response on my Banshee and Blaster. I did my own test yesterday on my Blaster. Blaster has fresh top end with .060 Vito's power piston, 4 degree key, head chamber milled to match piston by CT. 21cc, 28 PWK Keihen with Uni foam filter on the carb. Old FMF gold pipes. Banshee dual rate Works with res. on front Works Ultracross on rear. I use race gas. Ride at 5000 ft. I am 190 lbs. Since my Banshee is down for a rebuild I've taken the time to dial in the Blaster. The carb jetting is perfect. Was using 13/41 gearing today. Started with the RAD valve and I thought it ran great. Changed to the stock cage with old stock reeds and it ran better and faster. Yes the throttle response is improved with the RAD but it was more controled usable power with the stock cage with more mph. I bought a Banshee that had the RAD valves and I thought they worked well. Went to the single carb and like that better.
