I just got the engine back together from a top end rebuild and noticed that the head pipe is glowing faint red after just cruising around the back yard. Is this normal or do I have a lean or rich condition? I'm using an FMF power bomb header with my WB E-series silencer and 12 disks on my Warrior. I have installed a 155 main jet. Plug color is tan to light brown when checked after a few short runs at half throttle, (no fast runs yet since I'm trying to break the motor in) Any suggestions or help on this?

Thanks,
Stan

The plug sounds like it is perfect so I would just keep riding and see if it stops. I dont see how it could hurt anything. I say run with it and see if it stops.

Roll over to the honda forum, and do a search for Glowing Headpipes.. Alot of 400ex's headpipes glow.. try it, and you're probably doing the same thing theirs is
