I was just wondering if it was alright to run a banshee in the snow? If so do i have to do anything special like jets. Another thing , does anyone know the website for the company that sells the kit to turn your banshee into a snowmobile?

I heard those snow kits aren't really that good. They rob a ton of horsepower plus you top speed is nothing like it is now. Don't change the jets. The only thing I can tell you is to wash off any salt you get on it from riding on the road. Salt kills! Otherwise just layer the clothes and ride.

You will think your clutch is slipping!! ahahah. Even in 6th gear, out of the powerband, you pin the throttle, and it revvs...you don't go forward all that much...but it's fun. The best thing? let yourself slide to the exterior (where the snow is more fluffy), and roost the snow...it's real fun.
If the temp is real cold, you might want to rejet a notch fatter...just for safety (I didn't do it last winter...it was -20C, I had Graydon pipes...and 200 (stock) main jets. I even ran one day with almost no coolant!!! Banshee engines are tough!
I've heard ProWedge tires give you good grip. But they look lame. And never ride alone...cold isn't very forgiving and you get stuck very easily...

Like the other guy said the salt is a killer. My fried took his worrior out last year and it rusted up his front a-arms bad and he even had rubber protectors on them. SALT IS BAD!

There are tires in dennis kirk and they are like sand paddle tires but with much thicker paddles. They are specialy made for mud and snow. They would be great on a banshee to really get some hook up. Also the snowmobile thing that you where talking about I beleive can be found in winter dirt wheels or 4 wheel atv action but those things cost like 2 grand. You could buy a used sled for that much. My friend was always worried about riding his banshee in the snow because with his aftermarket mods he was worried he was going to over rev and blow it.

I just wanted to add that you can't damage a 2 stroke engine by overrevving it...unless you're a moron and stay too high for 15 seconds...overevving a 2 stroke doesn't have any dramatic effect like 4 strokes do (valve floating).

I might add.. Last year, when I was riding it snow, mine over heated quite often. It had me stumped.. it's like.. 10 degrees outside, and my quad is overheating.. Then, I realized.. I had been sitting there, 2nd gear, with mid to high revs for a while.. and not moving.. DUHH Yeah, the Banshee is fun in snow, but get some mud tires! Or else you will be sitting in 6th gear.. wide open and not moving! LOL its fun!
