hinson clutch basket for raptor,a few questions

I didn't buy a Hinson basket because it wasn't worth the money. The only time you need to buy a basket is if one of the arms on your old one is broke. When I took my clutch apart the basket had grooves worn in it. I used a file and gently filed all the fingers so they had no more grooves. Then I put sandpaper around the file to bring it to a fine finish. Just remember to file each finger evenly. All I needed to buy was the clutch plates and the clutch worked like new!

I recently installed a hinson basket on my banshee after shattering fingers off of the stocker. I grinded the rivets down on the back with a cut off wheel. And punched them through. The basket has threads in it. A screw goes through the back plate, through the gear and threads into the basket. I used red loctite on them, I don't want them coming loose. I also use a barnett kevlar clutch. I've made it half a season so far, still holding good. My 370 long rod eats clutches, usually the fibers fly apart. I've done the file thing to the fingers before. But hinsons are beefed up were the fibers hit the basket. I've noticed easier pull and no dragging with the new basket.
