I just got a 2001 Kodiak and 2 days later punctured the radiator. It wasn,t fixable so $315 later I'm back on the road. My problem is I have 2 bolts left over. I have taken it back down again and cannot figure where they belong. The bolts have built on bushings like they would go in the body somewhere or in the skid plate. Their are 2 bolts that go in the skidplate that have built in bushings but those ae in. Any help? Thanks

I was going thru some tall weeds 5 or 6 feet and found a hidden limb. There are only two places that are vulnerable and the limb found one of them. Here is the link to a picture of the bolt. kodiak bolt

OUCH! I feel your pain. I too have a new machine and hate to think about a stick puncturing the radiator. It is nice to drive a new machine but the first damage is painful.

Don't do this but since I was a kid and still learning he always said if I ever have any parts leftover just throw them in the fuel tank and they will work themselves in. The funny part is he just said this to my son about 1 week ago when all 3 of us were working on his car. I had to laugh my a$$ off when he said this! You should have seen my sons face.

Those bolts are ither for the skidplate or fender. The least noticable one would be the fender one because it goes through the fender from underside and its sturdy without it. Good luck

Thats what it looks like to me too. A floorboard bolt. You are very unlucky creekrat. Where is Mechanicsville at? I used to live in Grundy, VA. Grundy is near WV and KY.

I adjusted my valves today. I looked again for where those bolts go and still no luck. I did'nt take out any floorboard bolts when I put the radiator in. Mechanicsville is beside Richmond VA. Check out the picture of my punctured radiator.radiator
