That's really odd. I've had mine for 2 months, and it fit perfectly. Did you remove the exhaust header first? Won't go on with it in the way. Are you sure you're mounting it right? Can't imagine them screwing up that bad in manufacture. As far as I'm concerned, it's a nice piece, and worth it. Why don't you call them up to resolve this. No way I would buy another stock tank; not enough oil capacity as far as I'm concerned. Good luck.

Hey I had a problem with my stock oil res. to, it cracked on the bottom where that line comes out. I was wondering if the place where you bought the aftermarket one has a web site or a # i could call? Do they seem stonger then the stock ones? let me know thanks

Scottd,
How much more oil does the Pingry oil tank hold? I know on mine when I change the oil I am able to get in 2 qts, 12 ozs. and with oil filter change you can add 4 ozs to that total. Chet

Chet, figure about a quart more oil. Seems to keep it cooler too. I just didn't think a bit over 2 qts of oil for a 660cc motor was enough.

I guess when you think about they could have designed more capacity in. It does run about the same amount as my Honda 300 4 by 4. I will be changing the oil in my Raptor often and this is the case where fresh is better. Chet
