Blaster Problems

Hi everyone. I need help diagnosing a problem. My 98 Blaster wont go into gear. it just clicks. sometimes it goes into gear but doesnt stay in. i want to do the work myself so any help is welcomed. Thanks

Sounds like cluth work needs to be done to me, i could be wrong though, take it to a shop and have them give you an estimate and the problem, then do it yourself, dont that before, works well.!

It kinda sucks, but, you might try pulling the clutch cover and checking the bolt that holds the star locking mechanism to the shift fork drum. My Blaster would hop in and out of gear and when I pulled it apart, the star was loose. It allowed the drum to rotate wherever it wanted to go. I think when it came loose it weakened my 4th and 5th gears, because 4th and 5th both broke not too long after that happened.

It is probably the clutch!
