I recently bought a moto-4. I was told that it was a '96 model. When looking in magazines and on the computer for tech manuals and parts,I can only find '86 through '91's. if anyone has any info I would be very grateful.

 

96 was the last year for the Moto-4 350. They may have changed it to the Big Bear 2wd after that. I'm not certain though, I just don't figure they would have had 2 350 2wd bikes at the same time(utility bikes, not the warrior or banshee). The manual is probably covering quite a few models. There is the YFM Moto-4 200 which was made from 1985-86(maybe 87, but I doubt it), then the YFM Moto-4 225 from 86-88. The Moto-4 350 was either 86 or 87- 96. It seems as if I remember Yamaha upping the 225 to a 250 in 1989, but I wouldn't guarantee that I am right. I don't know the years on that bike or if it even was made. It seems right though, because the Timberwolf could have easily evolved from it.

What motor does it have? My son bought a Moto 4 350 new. It is a "96" the dealer told him that was the last year they where made. It's been through the mill so to speak and it is a very good atv no problems with it at all.
