Raptor Chain

ok, what's a good way to clean my chain since I can't find a masterlink to get it off. I must have gone around both sides ten times. Is it hard to break a chain? Are some chainbreakers better than others? Can I find a master link that will match? Any answers would help.

I know thay make chain scrubbers that you hook on w/o removing the chain.

Carnivore,
You need to run not walk to your Honda dealer for some Pro Honda HP chain lube. Its in a red can with black strips (13 OZ.) I have been using this for almost a year and it beats all that other messy stuff by a mile. It contains teflon and its not messy and it repels dirt better than other products I have used. The chain doesn't rust and it dries really fast. I found out about this stuff on a Kawasaki web site of all places. As long as Honda sells this stuff I will use it on my Raptor, Honda XR70 and Kawasaki KDX 200. This chain lube is so much cleaner. Chet

Thanks dslover and YFM660r. I looked at the chain scrubbers and they would probly remove the crusty stuff on the sides but I feel better soaking it.
Gonna go find some Pro Honda HP lube before I forget the name. I've been using Maxima chain wax and It does ok. and will finish the can.But would'nt mind trying somthing else. Looks like I'm Gonna End up busting the chain though.

I still have a can of Maxima chain wax up on my shelf. I'll use it if I happen to run out of the pro Honda HP. Maxima chain wax did ok for me when I used it but the build up was terrible. Last time I was at the Honda shop I purchased 3 cans of Pro HP. They have another Item that will clean the chain but I mainly use it to clean the brake rotors off but its safe for o/ring chains too. Without going to the garage I can't remember the name of it but they suggested it on the can of Honda Pro HP. It might be called contact brake/parts cleaner, Blue/black tinted can, and its made by Honda too. I will look and write back. Chet

www.sidewindersprockets.com... awesome chainbreakers and you might want to try the P51 chain lube. This stuff has changed my life. Its a Poly-flouro-hydride base. Fully synthetic. And is actually the only "OFF ROAD" chain lube available. i run with their Titanium sprockets and Quadra Max Ti-series chain. used with their lube the dirt falls of with a garden hose. I've tried it all... multiple chain waxes, all that sticky crap. No thanks. If you boyz give them try you will never go back. No $hit.
