Well, there was a guy posting on here claimed to be a atv mechanic for a dealership. Said he was sent to school to learn the in's and out's on the raptor and said asked and was told there are no differences.

I have learned to take what you read on this forum with a grain of salt, this guy was posting that yellow 400EX's are faster than the red 400EX's!!!! Just think if there was just a little of that mentality in 10% of the people on this forum, lots of rumors could start very easily.

You could even make a case for the early models like Js660r
#272 and Redrocker
#274 are more hand built and maybe even have less problems than the models like mine + 15,000 that were flying out the door because the dealers were crying for more Raptors. Right now I would pity the fool who would wait for the 2002 models. Everyone will soon know that the 2001 stock Raptors will be faster because of the higher gearing. Chet
