advice on head

i have a pro design head on my shee and on my zilla with out any probs. If your looking for a cooler running engine the head isnt the way to go since it makes a minimal difference. I have a buddy with the toomey radiator in his and it never gets hot now. I took a look at his rad and it looks like my zilla radiator. Wonder if i could get one to fit? would be the same as the toomey and ALOT cheaper. Could pick one up off of ebay for $30.

Another route you might want to explore is shaving your head, like .040's, and get the Pro Design Mega Impellor. I gained the performance the greater compression offered and still got the cooling benefits from the impellor. IF you have ever seen the stock impellor, you can see a big difference in design compared to the Mega flow. All this for around $150(head shave and impellor) compared to 250 for a cool head. My buddies banshee still overheats from time to time even with the cool head. I have yet to overheat.

The cooling path of the Pro Design head is WRONG! I does not allow enough water into the cylinders. The Stage 5 head from Trinity isproperly designed for your engine. It is interesting that Pro Design, instead of fixing the problem with their head, offers a bigger impeller that takes away hp and masks the problem.

I wont get into technicalities but if you ask any engine builders they will al tell you that the Trinity head has a better design then the Pro one so Trinity makes a better cool head but neither of them cool the engine much.A few engine builders even told me that the Prodesign head was so poorly designed that it would make the engine run hotter than the stock head but i dont know about that...
