Raptor Jetting with GYT-R Pipe
#1
I have a new 01 raptor with the GYT-R slip on pipe, and I was wondering if anyone knows what jetting I should run, and if I have to take the carb off to change the main jets. I have never ridden the quad yet, and I am thinking for just selling because of the problems you guys are having. What do you guys think???
Thanks Mike

I gotta tell you how great our Raptor is. It is my 13 year old son Skyler's. It is absolutely trouble-free. It handles fantastic, has gobs of power and looks great. It's light weight, good suspension, great power and nimble handling are a fantastic combination that makes it a truly great quad. The wider Durablue axle is our only real modification, one that I would highly reccommend. Ours is a serial # over 20,000, rumor on here was that the "problem" Raptors had serial #'s under 6,000. But there are plenty of happy Raptor owners on here with low serial numbers. I think changing the gear spacing for 2002 was a good idea, (sometimes I have trouble finding just the right gear for the speed I want to go on some slower trails) and they probably fixed any weak parts, or just defective, quality control problems they may have had with the earlier ones. Tempering and hardening can be real quality control issues on early production anythings.
So stop your worrying and start riding one of the best quads out there. No worries Mate.
