One of my friends (older guy) traded in his Raptor for the new Grizzly. He was out riding around and about 4 miles into his ride, the transmission popped real loud and stopped. He said it would not start and the tires were locked. Its sitting at the dealer now, but they probably wont look at it until later today/tomorrow. Anyone have ANY ideas on what could have caused this? I guess I am asking, has this happened to anyone else with a Grizzly? According to the dealer, out of the 10 he sold, this is the only one with problems so far...

I havent seen this quad yet, but I cant wait till he gets it back...I bet it rides like a cadillac!

Best I can think of that maybe he blew a belt. Shouldn't have a problem getting it fixed. Being its under warranty and all. I have had nothing short of spectacular performance from mine. I had over 500 miles on it in 2 months, 500 HARD miles. I really loved it, Till I hit a tree. :-) Oh well, Stuff happens, I can't wait to get it back.

This does not have too much to do with the topic but I thought I would share my knowledge regarding a problem a friend has with the bike. When riding through water when the engine is hot, the engine will experience a serious hesitation. It is suspected to be from steam which is flowing into the carb somehow. The dealer made it sound like it was a known problem but no fix yet. Also, same bike will stall at speeds of 40mph or more. Just dies! He has two bikes and has not had trouble with the other. My third friend that has one, only has 75 miles so no feedback yet.

Ok, I just spoke with his wife last night. He has his quad back All the info she knew was that they replaced the auto-clutch. Not sure why or what exactly happened yet, but it was related to that. I'll have to talk to him to get the details.
