I NEED SOME HELP. I WAS RIDING PRETTY HARD YESTERDAY AT THE LOCAL PRACTICE TRACK. I GUESS MY TOOLS WEREN'T SECURED VERY WELL BECOUSE ALL THAT WERE LEFT WAS THE SKREW DRIVER AND LOW PRESSURE GAUDGE. I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE HAD A LIST OF TOOLS NEEDED FOR THE BLASTER?

blaster00- We must ask you to refrain from using all caps in your posts. I appears to others as if you were shouting. It is ok to capitalize a single word or two to emphasize your point, however.

One of the magazines did a report on a handy toolkit that would compact down quite nicely. I think it was Moose brand, but I am not sure. If I was in your position, I would get one of those.
Of course, a visegrip is all you really need... ;-)

Blaster,
First of all, please discontinue using caps.
Since we are talking about 2 strokes, get these:
1) a plug wrench & something to turn it with. Some plug sockets have flats on the top for a wrench
2) screw driver, flat point.
3)screw driver, Phillips, or a reversable type like the one you lost.
4) medium size Vise Grip..they make a substitute brake or clutch lever, shifter, etc. Also to loosen rear axle nut to adj. chain.

5)end wrenches..10mm,12mm,at least.
6)Pliers.
7) Spare plug(s)

Since I often ride alone in the desert, I carry all of these & more in a Moose tool wrap inside a fanny pack, along with a cell phone, paper & pencil, and i.d. Also a tow strap. (to pull others home, of course )
A small first aid kit is a very smart thing to have if you're going very far from help.
I can get all this into my MSR Enduro pack & it's like the American Express card...I don't leave home without it!

Check out the latest issue of Dirtwheels. They did a product review on a tool kit made by Motion Pro. Much better quality than the cheezy stock tool kit. It retails for $40. If worse comes to worst, find the right size wrenches in your garage and put em under the seat.
