I agree with highperformance because if your talking dunes and want to have some fun go with the 400ex. The 400EX's suspension is so much better than the warriors. For a beginner the only downfall I can see would be there is no reverse. I would still purchase 400EX over the warrior though. Chet

Yes, the Warrior is a good beginner machine, especially if you're 6' or taller. The reverse comes in really handy in the woods. We run ours in the woods with Maxxis Razr's and at the dunes with Skat-Trak Haulers. They are ultra-dependable and pretty easy to work on with a Clymer manual handy. Plan on getting a rear skid plate for any serious trail action though.

if i was a very beginner i don't know if i'd wanna be on a 400EX or not and the warrior is cheaper. i think the warrior is the best choice for you...but hey if you can afford it get the 400 its also a great machine. a 300EX is nice too.
