Think coil on Banshee is bad
#1
For the past month or so my Banshee spits and sputters out of the left cylinder when you first start it. It acts like the plug is fouled since it smokes and then stops smoking and then clears up and keeps doing a cycle like this. After riding for a minute or so it eventually stops, but sometimes it isn't very throttle responsive unless your in the powerband and usually when you hit the throttle it takes off. I had brand new NGK plug caps on it and I thought maybe they were bad so I bought another pair and it still does it. I have been told by several dealers in my area that you can not replace the spark plug wires on Banshees and you have to buy the a new coil if you want to change the wires. I noticed today that where the wires go into the coil there are little snap connectors holding them into the coil(I think that's what they are doing). I just figured that more than likely the coil or the plug wires were at fault since the right cylinder runs fine. Also if anyone knows a good place on the web to look for a new OEM replacement coil or any Aftermarket coils that would work on my Banshee. Thanks.

I just bought a new one from Vince's Cycle for $45.00, but as it turns out that was'nt my problem so I'll try my pick up coil next. Here's Vince's web page, http://members.tripod.com/vincescycle
