What do you people recommend to get my warrior ready to do a little MX'ing? Nuthin really extreme but stuff like tire size and brand recommendations. I also have a set of renthals on the way on top of the other mods. Thanks for the help. Later.

The stock front shocks on my Warrior bottom out so easy when doing motocross. Do you have the same problem?

no offense......GET FIT

MX is the harmony of rider and machine.........

not jelly donut,pies,rider and machine

(i am unfit too......swimming helps me).....its done wonders for my disslocated shoulder

once you've done that

18-9.5-8 turf tamers on the back.......

take the air box lid off......maybe a biger front sprocket.......

and most importantly have a blast

those are starting points.......its about all i do on my very limited budget

laters

Other than getting in shape...which was mentioned above...If it is an AMA race...You are going to need a tether switch. Do not worry about mods for the first few races...get yourself in the groove first. Make sure you like MX...and like it enough to mod your warrior for it.
I've been around the race tracks for years now. It is going to take a bit of money to make the warrior a viable competitor. But it can be done. About the only thing that I would do right off the bat would be to mess around with the front sprocket...It is cheap and does not require any other mods.(somebody said to raise the tooth count up front. Maybe for cross country...For MX I would drop a tooth..But that's just me)
If you decide to remove the air box lid...make sure you rejet.
