I have an 88 Banshee. I keep having problems w/ my rear axle-housing bolts ripping out and coming loose. When I got it the bolts were jerry-rigged w/ nuts on the ends. So I rethreaded them and put bigger bolts in it. now I can't keep them from coming loose and falling out. Was there a problem w/ the old rear ends? Any suggestions would be appretiated to fix this problem. thanks

I have an 87 that had the same problems, to fix it I bought a newer style axle carrier, or bearing carrier (whatever you want to call it) the newer ones have 1 bolt on the top and bottom that go all the way through, and mounts to the inside of the swingarm. It solved all the problems, and is alot easier to adjust. I found a used one at one of the local shops for 35 bucks. good luck, hope I helped ya!

KnTbanshee, tahats what Iwas thinking about trying next. I didn't know if I could do that and keep the same swing arm. That would be cool, I will have to look for one tomorrow. I sure hope I can find a used one at a good price. All the ones i saw was 2 or 3 hundred dollars. Thanks I will try that.
