Grizzly problem
#1
I have a '00 grizzly that works very weird, sometimes it goes like **ll and then on the same run it just keeps up with everyone else I had a '98 griz that would go like **ll and stay ahead of most the others I trail with, dealer has cleaned cluthes out two times before never found a problem it works ok for a little while but back to the same problem again.Any help would be welcome.

Try disconnecting the speed sensor, first remove the plastic that surrounds the speedometer (pull straight towards you as you sit on the Grizzly). Next follow the 1 inch black tubing down where the cables run through from the back of the speedometer. You might have to remove the front plastic and rack. At the end of the tube are two connectors one black with several wires, the other is white with only two wires. Disconnect the white connector using a small screwdriver, that's all there is to it. Hope this helps.

I think I may have found my problem,I have 27 inch blackwaters all around 9 by 12 front and 12 by 12 in the back, my '98 handeld these tires with no problem but my '00 just does not seem to like these tires I put the stock tires back on and it works excellant all kinds of power and speed again I don't know maybe I am dreaming but it sure is not the same bike, someone told me Yamaha did internal clutch and engine work for '99 but why won't it turn bigger tires like my '98 did.

I have a 2000 Grizzly which i put 26x12x12 Goodyear Mud Runners on the rear and 26x9x12 Mud runners on the front and in low range you can torque them up, I noticed a overall power loss. I had a clutch kit from highlifter, a K&N Filter and K&N Stage 1 Jet kit installed which solved that problem. When you put the large tires on you will need to disconnect your speed sensor to keep it from surging
