First, you must define your terms: what do you mean by "true four-wheel drive?"
For example, Ford sells Explorer SUV's, calling them, "four-wheel drive" vehicles
Yet, ALL Ford Explorers have differentials, BOTH FRONT AND REAR!
Does having a differential mean "true four-wheel drive" is impossible?
If so, Yamaha's do not have "true four-wheel drive," because the "4WD" models all have front differentials.
Thus, definition of terms is critical in these discussions.
