early blaster problems??

did any of the 1988 or 89 blasters have any problems that are not found on current ones? what changes (if any) has yamaha made to the blaster over the years? thanks for your time.

On the earlier versions, people kept running over their own feet with the rear tires. So, they added those nice footguards between the fender and the peg.
