I have had difficulty getting the right pilot jets from my Yamaha dealer. tThe first ones he ordered were not even close to being the right ones. I then took one of the 22.5s with me and he reordered. Picked them up a few minutes ago and they look the same except for the pick up tube. The new 25s have a much smaller pickup tube which concerns me. They are for a Mukuni TM carb. The only other ones he list are for a Mukuni RS carb and the sizes start at 30 adn go up. What type and brand are you using and where did you purchase them? Thanks in advance.

 

It took my yam dealer 2 tries to get it right, but if they check the computer they should be able to get the right part number and jets. the wrong ones wont fit. cant say I actually compared my 22.5 to my 25, just checked the size on the side of the jet, no brand name either the bigger pilot jets did not make much dif anyway (probably the altitude here)

Why do you need bigger pilots??

I have done a number of these engines and NEVER needed to change the size of the pilots.

Never did the pilots in mine and love the way it runs.
