I need to remove the carbs. on Raptor. How do you remove the throttle and choke linkage? I am hesitant to do so but need to remove them. The butterflies are sticking and do not close all the way. If I crack the throttle hard and quick, it will return to idle, but just normal throttle does not let it return to idle and it hangs at 3300 rpm.

if you are hesitant try lubing up the linkage first and see if that helps.

It's not the linkage that is binding. I can loosen the linkage and see inside the cover plate where you disconnect the linkage. With no pressure on the lever wher the linkage attaches, the shaft is still binding. I can touch the butterflies and they will go ahead and shut. I can manually open them and they will still hang open when released.

check your cable.. i had the same problem..its getting caught up along the way. Look where the cable goes into the throttle housing by your thumb. Grab the cable and sligfhtly pull it and check to see if it gets caught up with the bike on (IN NUETRAL OF COURSE)..or follow it along that 3 screw plate cover. I was never able to get the choke cable apart so i just disocnnected it from the lever
