Well this summer i sold my 01 Raptor for many reasons that some of you may remember. I swore that i would never buy another yamaha again but..... well.... I kinda just picked up an 02 Raptor. I tried it out at the dealer and liked it alot better than my 01 and figured they must have upgraded trans gears cause it shifted better then my 01 did. So i figured what the heck. I realy liked my other one besides the tranny probs i had with it. I decided black n white this time instead of blue. Let the modding begin! I almost like modding quads more than i do riding them! Any way i am back to Yamaha forum. Going riding, Later!

Well one thing i liked better besides the trans was the rear shock actually adjusts when you turn the adjusters. The 01 shock didnt make a difference if you adjusted it or not. It appears to take the rough stuff better and not buck when off the gas in woops like my 01. As for shifts better i mean it feels like most other quads. When you shift it feels like it actually went into second. With my 01 you realy had to lift the shifter or you would get a false nuetral. The gear ratios seem in my opinion spot on compared to the 01. The over all quality looks better than my 01 also. The welds on my 01 looked kinda crappy. The axle appears to be better quality. I tapped on it with a hammer and it had a higher pitched ting to it so it must be hardened better. This is all i have moticed so far since i realy havent had to much time to check it out yet.
