The only difference is the CDI box. California goes slightly more retard on the top end and has a less agressive advance curve. If you are running a stocker, the 49 state box is the better. If you have built it or changed the stroke, the California box is the way to go.

 

Raptor720, do you have any idea which CDI box my canadian spec raptor may have? do they go with california crap or 49 state??

 

I am sure your are 49 state since it is hard to get the Canadian bikes (at least some) into Ca.

The CA box is not all that bad. Once you build the 660 the CA box provides a slightly better power curve.
