Stock banshees *can* be a handful in tight woods....but there is a method to the maddness! Its like anything else...one you get used to *HOW* to ride a banshee fast, everything else seems slow. There are a few places that a banshees tend to suffer more than others(extremely slick/tight or muddy areas). Just keep good tires and keep your speed up or you'll end up being towed from the swamps a lot!

I hear all these people say how much the Banshee sucks in the woods, and I dont really care what they say. I bought a Banshee and i mainly ride the trails, in gravel pits and sandpits. It gets the job done, and quite well may I add. I could use a little more low end, but im not complaining. I've always seemed to have enough to get me up those steep hills. I have FMF pipes, and a Stage 4 CV kit on mine, and its very easy for me to handle in the woods...I can make my machine crawl, and go slow. I hate stereotypes.
Sure the 400ex and 300ex are better for trail, they are 4 strokes..they arent peppy. But just because those 2 are better, it doesnt make the banshee horrible for the trail.

Plus, Id rather have a machine that can i can ride in the woods, and still be able to scream...The 400ex has nice power...but it wont fill my needs for going fast.

it means exactly what it says, if you buy a honda, expect to be towed often, no matter what you do to it, no matter what money you spend or mods you put in it, it is "STILL A FREAKIN HONDA!!!!!"
