Have you checked to see if your fuel valve needle was sticking open? This would be the first place I would check. You can drain the carb bowl and get rid of any dirt that may have found its way in to your bowl by opening your bowl drain tube. There is a screw at the very bottom of your carb (there should be a hose very close to it). Turn this counter-clockwise to open it for a few seconds to flush out the bottom of your carb. Gas will flow from the near-by tube. Close the screw (turning clockwise) to stop the flow. DO NOT CLOSE THIS SCREW TO TIGHT!!! This will damage the seat and it will leak. If this doesn't work, you will probably have to remove and clean the fuel valve (connected to the float) and the seat. But try draining the carb first. Also you should have a fuel filter on you machine. I had one on my '00 Wolv and did not have problem one with the carb. BTW, watch out for bent rear axles on the Wolv's.

There is a machine shop in IL that will straighten your axles for $15. Maybe try to find one in your neck of the woods.

I'd be very hesitant about straightening a bent axle... especially more than once. Once an axle bends, metal fatigue starts. Once you straighten that axle, the metal fatigue is increased, and it will bend much easier next time. Each time you bend and straighten it, the axle will become weaker and weaker. Take a piece of metal wire, for example... Keep bending it back and forth, and eventually it will break. It's the same idea with an axle. Then you also have to take into consideration, the fact that a machinist would have to heat the axle a lot in order to straighten it, which would take the hardness out of the steel, and make it even easier to bend the next time. You might get away with straightening an axle once, but if it bends again, your money would be better spent investing in a new axle.
