warrior or 300ex?

well im not sure if you're familiar with the north east... i go to maine and ride there a lot. its a lot of tight trails, mud, rocks, fallen trees, and hills.and i will mostly be riding with 4x4's ( foremans, kodiaks, etc.) We do long trail rides like up small mountains. these rides may last anywhere from 2-6 hours and sometimes 40 mile rides. We dont go very fast so that doesn't matter but its nice for at home and an ocasional trip to the mx track so... which one?

How big are you? The 300EX works better for smaller riders, the Warrior and 400EX for larger riders. Of your two listed quads, I'd pick the Warrior. Throw the 400EX in and then it's rider's choice, as in try to beg a ride from someone and then deceide.

I would say ride them both and then decide, but I also agree on the size part. But not the 400EX . I also posted an answer in the Honda forum but I saw it in this one and answered again.

The only advantage you get with the warrior is power(maybe). the 300ex is alot lighter, more reliable, and has better suspension. It is also a newer design than the warrior which has not been updated since the time it came out. The warrior has proven to be pretty reliable, but it is hard to beat Honda's in that department. I only hear good things about the 300ex. I keep hearing that the warrior has a crappy airbox and chain adjuster and that the suspension also bottoms out if you jump it over a few feet. Hope I helped.

The warrior is at home on the mountian trails and it handles great. My warrior can go 50miles on a tank of gas in colorado goin' up the mountians.... Very friendly on the mx Track.
Many people will say the warrior has a heavy front end. True. But it can come off the ground prety good to. The front end is also nice in those quick split second moves to avoid another rider while turring and mashing the front brake lever.

it depends on how big of a person you are.. i being on the larger side prefer the warrior and i dont notice a front end heaviness ive ridden a 300ex and it was to cramped and just didnt have the power my warrior has. though yes the warrior has an airbox problem if you get a warrior id get a proflow kit. which is my next purchas along with a new airbox lid ( previous owner cut it up badly). The warrior is a good bike while some say nose heavy if your good you can jump it fairly well. ive jumped a road that was 10-12 feet across geting 3+ feet off the ground with my stock suspension though i dont recomend it. the 300ex is a good bike though i wont doubt that.
