I believe I read the same thing about yamaha in one of my last magazine issuses... All it said that Yamaha would have a cross country team for the year 2000 to compete against Kawasaki. Then it said they was working on a 250 quad. But when I was at the GNC TT races in Orrivle Ohio last year they annouced that in 2001 most of the top companies would have quad race teams. They was told this at a meeting in Las Vegas.... This was from the people at fast track promotions who told that info.

Where did you hear that Kawi isn't having a 2000 team? That is just the opposite of what I heard, or actually read, over at ATVsport.
I doubt that Yamaha will race the GNCs, just the GNCCs. What four-stroke are you talking about? I will believe that YZF quad when I see it.
Thanks for the replies.

Kawasaki is having a 2000 Team. Maxxis, Supertrapp, and some others are already bragging about being sponsors on their '00 Team, as well as Chevy.
I think it's great that they are getting GNCC racing. GNC would be nice too, but I don't think it would be as benefitial to them, both R&D wise, and sales. Most people are in the woods or trails.
Can't wait to see them though, I am hoping this leads to a further developed Warrior. Should also give a nice spec sheet for Banshee guys that want to run in woods to go by too.
