I change my oil after every other riding weekend. After 3 days in Glamis my oil was BLACK INK! I have an e-series slip on with 14 discs, a Graydon airbox with a 250R K&N filter with outerwears no lid, and 160/165 jetting. My plug looks clean and has a little red tint to it. I have a little black smoke on startup and my disc exhaust leaves some dry carbon on my 6 pack rack/cooler. Is a rich condition causing carbon buildup and then washing past my rings??

Can I use an automotive guage to do a compression check??

I have a 95 warrior and I ride the hell out of it. I've run mobil 1 15-50 and it's been in the motor since july and it's still clean.

I also have a foreman that runs regular oil and it stays clean. ( I change it more often) Maybe specific to the Raptor?????
