Checked the parking brake limiter, that's not it. It is definitely not running right. It will start and idle, can rev it and take off with full power, then, right away, it just runs out of gas and quits.
....... I have an appointment at the dealer, but that is 90 miles away and not till November 7th. Dealer said check the parking brake, and that there is no fuel filter in the raptor. I also tried the gas **** in both reserve and reg positions. Has a new Spark plug......

In the same line of thought as the fuel cap would be a pinched vent hose.

Check all those vent hoses that hang off the carbuerator and up under the frame, make sure none are clogged with mud or anything. This can cause similar symptoms.

Regards

Maybe there is some crud in the tank that gets into the line and starves the machine when taking off hard.

I don't know just a thought.

Let us know what you find out if you find it.

Hope you get it fixed

sure sounds like one of the vent hoses, dont forget to check the one that comes off the top of your carb and raps over the snorkle around the frame, it pinches real easy. or possible the carb boots if they popped off??? keep us posted

We will get into this after school today. Skyler had a Halloween party on Saturday and we cut up his Elk on Sunday. This boy sure keeps us busy.
Thanks for all the suggestions. We will check the gas cap and all vent hoses for pinches first.
